Over time, the business expanded beyond gardening and landscaping into home repairs, renovations, cleaning, in-home support, and aged care and NDIS services. In 2023, qualified builder Matt Downer joined the team, helping the company take on renovations such as bathroom upgrades, mobility improvements, verandas, pergolas, and accessibility projects.

The company now has projects booked up to 18 months ahead due to strong demand. Matt and his wife and business partner, Calinda Hurley, have grown the team to five staff members covering gardening, building, cleaning, and support services.

The Hurleys also took over the hardware stores in Rupanyup and Murtoa, relaunching them as Hurley’s Home and Hardware. They say owning the stores complements their business by ensuring they have quick access to supplies and materials needed for jobs.

Calinda Hurley said there is growing demand for cleaning and support services connected to aged care and disability assistance, and the business now works with organisations including Community Options, Grampians Community Health, NDIS, and My Aged Care.
